Education

  • I. Otology Conference

    It is held in the conference room on the 10th floor at 7:00 AM every Tuesday. Residents present the history of surgical case briefly and discuss how to make a decision with video presentation.

  • II. Rhinology Conference

    It is held in the otorhinolaryngology conference room on the 10th floor at 7:00 AM every Tuesday. Rhinology faculties, fellows, and residents review and discuss journals of rhinology.

  • III. Tumor Board

    Radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and otorhinolaryngologists discuss the weekly tumor cases for making a treatment plan at the radiology conference room on the first floor every Thursday at 5:00 PM.

  • IV. Radiology Conference

    Otorhinolaryngologists and radiologists discuss the weekly cases for making a diagnosis or treatment plan at radiology conference room every Thursday after Tumor board.

  • V. Pathology Conference

    It is held by otorhinolaryngologists and pathologists at pathology conference room every other Wednesday at 5:00 PM. Residents report brief history of the cases and professors discuss the special feature of each case in focus of pathophysiology.

  • VI. Case & Topic Conference

    It is held in the otorhinolaryngology conference room every Wednesday at 7:00 AM. Residents perform case review and also detailed topic review. Then, all the attendees have a free discussion on each subject. Total 22 days, 45 cases were presented.

  • VII. Friday Morning Conference

    Specialists in various fields give lectures on the current knowledge of otorhinolaryngology every Friday at 7:00 AM.

  • X. Periodic Special Education

    1. Temporal Bone Dissection Course

      One temporal bone dissection course took a place in 2020. Residents and junior faculties studied temporal bone anatomy for otology surgery. Under the microscope they learned surgical skills for actual operation under supervision of faculties.

    4. Seoul Symposium

      Every year there is a symposium. Otorhinolaryngologists, professors and residents, from hospitals in Seoul share their experiences with cases presentation and discuss the cases. This year it was held on August 9th via online session due to COVID-19.

  • XI. SNUBH-BRMH joint Conference

    It is held at the conference room at 7:15 AM on Monday of the last week of each month. The residents of each hospital present the cases and all the people have a free discussion about each case.

  • XII. SNUBH Otology & Vestibular Conference

    Otology faculties and residents preview and discuss the cases of the week, review the cases of the last week on every Tuesday at 7:15 AM.

  • XV. BRMH Thyroid conference

    Radiologist, nuclear medicine physicians, pathologists, otorhinolaryngologists, endocrinologists of the internal medicine and also general surgery department gather to discuss thyroid cases for making treatment plans every other Monday at 5:00 PM.
